Piragua
piragua (pronounced /pɪˈrɑːɡwə/)[1] is a Latin American frozen treat, shaped like a pyramid, made of shaved ice and covered with fruit flavored syrup which are sold by vendors, known as piragüeros, in small colorful pushcarts.
this is my newest sculpture the reason i created this piece was because, I remember growing up in Corona, Queens and during the summer times at my grandmas' house, i had some of the fondest memories of my life. including eating piraguas with my friends and family so i made this to commemorate that. i hope this piece does the same to other kids growing up. while other kids had Mr Softee and other ice cream trucks we had piraguas! and i wouldn't have it any other way.
